Abstract: This presentation brings together intentionally distinct topics spanning computational biology and experimental systems. We first explore DNA-based cryptography through the use of a one-time pad, leveraging synthetic DNA as a medium for secure information storage and transmission. We then examine fish welfare through behavioral data, focusing on the extraction and analysis of individual trajectories in aquatic environments. Finally, we introduce the challenge of predicting HIF transcription factor binding sites from DNA sequence, highlighting current limitations and perspectives.
