Abstract: The vast amount of data generated by individuals today has fueled the rise of AI-driven technologies that make our lives more convenient and efficient. However, these same tools also create unprecedented opportunities for hackers and cybercriminals to develop new forms of attack.
In this talk, we will begin by introducing key cybersecurity concepts. We will then explore how attackers are leveraging artificial intelligence to design and execute novel threat vectors. Next, we will examine the research paper “Invisible Ears at Your Fingertips: Acoustic Eavesdropping via Mouse Sensors”, which presents Mic-e-Mouse, an AI-powered system capable of reconstructing conversations using only the acoustic signals captured by a standard computer mouse. Finally, we will discuss practical strategies and best practices to protect personal information from this emerging class of attacks.
