Abstract: In this talk, I present the Brno University of Technology (BUT) system submitted for the text-dependent task of the Short-duration Speaker Verification challenge 2020, which was the best performing system for this task. We explored successful techniques from text-independent systems in the text-dependent scenario. In particular, we combined x-vector and i-vector based systems and proposed the use of phrase-dependent PLDA backend for scoring and its combination with a simple phrase recognizer.
